Overview
A film set against the backdrop of East Timor’s integration into Indonesia. Manuel (Ryan Hidayat), who is pro Fretilin and continues guerilla activities in the jungle, is in a love relationship with Ana (Sonia Carrascalao), whose family opposes Fretilin. This couple is separated by the East Timor conflict between the separatists and the pro-integration forces. An adequate portion of this film is dedicated to the historical background of integration. The film ends with Manuel changing to a pro-integration stance and marrying Ana.
