A First Attempt at Aesthetic Resistance
0.0/10
Overview
If a comet is a cosmic snowball made up of ice, dust, and rock with a tail millions of miles long, which it is, then consider A First Attempt at Aesthetic Resistance a kind of lit-media-art cosmic snowball made up of socio-cultural criticism, personal essay a la David Sedaris but less digressive, and a Saturday Night Live-like cinematic reflection – ON PLASTIC-INJECTION MOLDED CHAIRS. Writer, director, producer, Patrick Bazin, hits a sweet spot between humor and terror, delivering a hyper-stylized blow to the tyranny of blandness, mass-produced plastics, conformity, and uniformity. A First Attempt at Aesthetic Resistance leaves a righteous desire-for-beauty afterglow millions of miles long.
