Overview

On the Road to Poverty Alleviation is a folk opera directed by Tian Qinxin. It recreates the deeds of Huang Wenxiu, the first secretary of Baini Village, Leye County, Baise City, Guangxi, who sacrificed her life on the frontlines of poverty alleviation. The musical pays tribute to the more than 2.8 million village cadres, young party members and third party members who are fighting on the "road of poverty alleviation," and the CPC secretaries and more than 770 frontline cadres who sacrificed their lives in the fight for poverty alleviation.
