Overview
Allegorical fable retracing the history of the Haitian people through the slave trade and the struggle for independence of Toussaint Louverture and Jean-Jacques Dessalines. The animation of this tale was designed by thirteen of the best naïve painters of Haiti. The quality of the animated sequences made from Haitian paintings, their vibrant colors, the music and traditional songs, make this film an excellent introduction to the history of slavery. Intended for a young audience, it can be enjoyed by everyone and has won numerous awards at festivals dedicated to human rights.
