Overview

On a raw November day John Butler moved into his inheritance: a house and enough land to make a good paddock. He took a pitchfork and started to dig. He interviewed a lady named Shirley and married her. Together they make a living from the three acres with persistent but easy-paced toil, and prayer and meditation at dawn and sunset.
