Overview
Kissing on a soccer field by Amrita Hepi is video art She’s The Man. Amrita merry-go-rounds people while kissing, staring dead ass into the camera. It’s creepy/cute, and the narration features ‘fantasy’ and ‘revenge’, two recognised staples of gay filmmaker lexicon. Rummaging through human lips while on camera takes you back to a high school oval, next to the crumbling building where asbestos grated cheese fell into your hair for 10 years while you marvelled at Sony Ericsson slide phones that’s not yours stop taking my stuff André you have weird fixations. Jen’s a discreet iPhone videographer, and I love playgrounds, so this film could be mistaken for a Garden Reflexxx work - no offence Amrita.
