Overview

With crisp music, vibrant colours, and a brisk tempo, animator Che Meiyi deconstructs “The Night Revels of Han Xizai”, Gu Hongzhong‘s painting about the luxurious nightlife of a minister from the Tang Dynasty, reimagining a traditional tale from a modern perspective and posing the question: how would the ancients have partied in the present day?
