Overview

The documentary Nomads premiered in Ashgabat in 1965. The troupe of dzhigit horsemen, led by Davlet Hodzhabaev, can only be compared to a storm. It is about them the American press wrote during their tour in the US: "Even we, the Americans, having seen so many cowboys, couldn't not marvel at such inseparable, almost centaurean merge of the rider and the horse, like that the Turkmen horsemen demonstrated to us with such brilliance."
