Despite loving Lois Lamay Grant Pearson marries his father’s ward Nadine because of a deathbed promise and they depart for South Africa. Eight years roll by Grant & Nadine have a child, Robert, and Lois arrives to teach at the mission. When Nadine is temporarily stricken blind Grant & Lois renew their passion.
