The heroine is studying to become a doctor and has a panic fear of the red color of blood. She finds peace of mind in the church, where she sings in the choir and asks the Lord for strength. One evening, she realizes a rat lives next to her. Initially, she wants to kill it, but eventually accepts its presence. However, the trap she took from a neighbor works, and the rat is dead. There is blood on the floor — the heroine faces her fear and is freed from it. Afterward, she speaks her first words in the film, calling out to a young man.
