A documentary recounting the August 28, 1990 Plainfield Tornado, which struck the communities of Plainfield, Crest Hill and Joliet, Illinois just forty miles outside of Chicago. The F-5 (now EF-5) Tornado struck without warning, taking 29 lives, and remains one of the most powerful, mysterious tornadoes in recorded history. This documentary film was produced by the Joliet Area Historical Museum with gracious assistance from the City of Joliet, WJOL 1340, the Plainfield Historical Society and WGN-TV.
