Overview
In the past, the Visigoths plundered Rome. Pagans believed this was Jupiter's punishment for the Romans' betrayal of polytheism in favor of Christianity. In response to this condemnation, a man named Augustine wrote "The City of God." Since then, the city of the earthly realm has been born. In this film, the city of the earthly realm seems more like a portrayal of real human relationships. Unlike the earthly realm that abandons God, here, everyone has their own self-proclaimed sacred beliefs. At the same time, they maintain connections through similar desires and an imagined community.
