"Hope walks on"

Overview

One man’s tragic end becomes a child’s hopeful beginning in this moving silent short. After a pair of sneakers is stripped from a body at a morgue and tossed into a landfill, they are rescued and repurposed for a boy who has never known the comfort of a sturdy step. By tracing the journey of a single object from a site of suicide to the doors of a school, the film captures the cycle of life and the transformative power of a simple gift.
