Overview

In the spring of 1945, Zygmunt Lakocinski—a lecturer at Lund University—assembled a group of Holocaust survivors to gather and document accounts from other survivors arriving in Sweden at the end of the war. These testimonies subsequently served as evidence in trials against Nazi war criminals. Lakocinski’s archive—known as the "Ravensbrück Archive"—is preserved at the Lund University Library; it constitutes a globally unique collection of testimonies concerning the horrors of the concentration camps and remains a valuable resource for ongoing research
