In a time when parts of U.S. history are being erased, high school students in a small Mississippi town take on an ambitious class project to uncover hidden histories from names in the local graveyard, and confront the silences that history often leaves behind. At school year’s end, a select few will then bring those stories dramatically to life for the community. For these students, the journey is an emotional, challenging, and for some, a life-changing experience. " A Mississippi Story" follows each step of their journey.
