Wednesday, October 19, 1938: The celebrated poet Alfonsina Storni arrives in the city of Mar del Plata, Buenos Aires, Argentina, intending to spend her final days there. She stays at the San Jacinto boarding house, owned by her friend Luisa Orioli, and Alfonsina is the only guest. She is greeted by the boarding housekeeper, Celinda, daughter of the previous landlady, who has passed away.
