Overview
Rawiya, a young Palestinian girl living in Gaza, finds her dead Mother after an attack on their home by the Israeli Defence Force. With nowhere to go and no one to comfort her, she sets out to find anything familiar amongst the chaos, finding a stray cat along the way. Both are lost in a world of destruction. At the same time, a young Australian girl lives her life blissfully unaware of the horrors Rawiya faces – going to school, playing with her friends and enjoying meals with her family. Rawiya and the cat need to find somewhere safe to stay, food to eat and a place to survive.
