Through a series of interviews, oral histories, and archival footage, this documentary traces the impact of the Vietnam War and the secret war in Laos on a group of Vietnamese and Hmong refugees living in the United States. It begins with a political history of Southeast Asia and moves to the challenges of resettlement for refugees, from racism to barriers to employment. The documentary was produced by Magic Video Productions, a JTPA-sponsored video company employing Southeast Asian high school students in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
