Panamanian filmmaker Miguel I. González embarks on an intimate quest: to find the photograph of his peasant grandmother that never existed. In the mountains of Azuero, this endeavor leads him to explore the countryside where his family took root and to rediscover a memory he thought lost. Along the way, his personal search opens up to other voices, other faces, and other stories, becoming a collective portrait of rural Panama. SALOMA is an elegy about memory, the land, and all that fades when we stop looking toward the place that shaped us.
