In February 2021, the Perseverance rover landed on Mars without incident. However, the mission's success was far from guaranteed. This report shows the difficult development process of the rover leading up to its successful landing. The new rover, which NASA sent to Mars, is called Perseverance. Its mission is to search for traces of ancient life on the Red Planet, an important and ambitious mission.
