Overview
Curley Temple loves Fannie Harden, the daughter of rancher Jim Harden. After Jim discovers rustled calves in his herd, he offers a reward for the capture of the thief. The real rustler is Peters, one of Jim’s cowboys, who hides branding irons in a lone tree where Curley and Fannie plan to meet. When other cowboys find Curley’s horse and the hidden irons, they mistakenly believe he is the rustler. Curley flees to avoid trouble, leading to a chase and his capture. Meanwhile, Peters returns to the tree and begins using the irons. Fannie arrives, discovers him in the act, and realizes he is the rustler. She informs her father and the cowboys, who release Curley and capture Peters red-handed. As a reward, Fannie asks her father to approve her marriage to Curley, and he agrees.
