For twenty-six years, Abigail Hobbs’ true identity was completely suppressed by the manipulation, surveillance, and enforced silence of a strict religious cult. The narrative exposes this invasive childhood through personal narration, archival footage, and dramatic re-enactments, showcasing a world where she never knew she had choices. The heart of the story follows her escape and the profound queer awakening that shatters her old worldview. Breaking free requires more than just leaving; it demands that Abigail trust herself for the first time, opening up a life of radical self-discovery. Her journey evolves from a struggle against religious captivity into a triumphant celebration of her queer identity. Ultimately, the plot charts her transformation from a silenced captive into a woman reclaiming her autonomy to live openly, authentically, and free.
