Overview

Borrowing from Plato’s allegory of the cave, this hyperreal internet-pilled examination of loneliness in the modern age recontextualizes ancient philosophy within an overstimulated meta-verse. Hannah Epstein’s PLATO’S GOON CAVE: A PRIMER investigates the worst elements of the culture in an incisive, stupid, and overstimulating look at the digital prisons we’ve crafted for ourselves. The illusion is no longer an outside system but something we actively choose to embody. – Justine Smith
