Overview
Rules is a minimalist chamber piece set in a single room, where three individuals work on an increasingly rigid routine governed by an intricate web of spoken and unspoken rules. As one them repeatedly fails to meet the group's expectations, she is subjected to relentless correction and criticism, exposing the fragile balance between conformity and individuality. With subtle tension and dry irony, Rules explores whether systems of order are truly designed to guide and support us—or whether they ultimately serve to exclude those who struggle to fit within them.
