"A cabbage, a deaf man, and his daughter walk into a bar: a documentary exploration of filial love and sauerkraut."

Overview

A documentary filmmaker repurposes the tools of cinema to understand her father’s asymmetric hearing. Interweaving handcrafted explorations, binaural recordings, and mixed animation techniques, the materiality of the film turns back on itself and questions the disruptive potential of a forgotten grain of sand in the gears.
