Overview
On March 28, 1968, four young people were kidnapped in western Pennsylvania. Three escaped. Mike, a Virginia Military Institute cadet, didn’t. For 55 years, those closest to the crime rarely spoke publicly about what happened. Then, in 2023, an author published a book about the murder without contacting several of the people whose lives had been shaped by it. A Murder in Mercer gives them a voice in the telling.
