Dripped in hazy neon and blurred traffic lights, IN THE DRIVER'S SEAT uncovers the nighttime infrastructure and drivers who keep the spirit of Austin, Texas alive. With nightlife as the city’s heartbeat, pedicabbers, rideshare drivers, and bus operators are the lifeblood. However, their stories are often overlooked. Balancing personal identity and their passenger-facing personas, these transit workers navigate more than just traffic. Our drivers stay sharp, blasting music, taking unexpected shortcuts, and overcoming nightshift hurdles with creative solutions that only they could produce.
