Overview
Glatten, a village in Germany’s northern Black Forest, is preparing to welcome 34 refugees in container homes opposite its outdoor swimming pool. Volker, a local resident and pool volunteer, forms a citizens’ initiative, claiming he wants to protect the village. As debates over the location intensify, the village’s fragile idyll begins to unravel—long before the refugees arrive.
