Overview
The project is a joint film diary composed of dislocated voice memos and self-shot videos. Five collaborators (some good friends, acquaintances, or strangers) living in New York, Toronto, Paris, and San Francisco spend a year recording their separate, but sometimes analogous lives. Speaking into the confessional space of the smartphone, each contributor has compiled a year’s worth of intimate audio journal entries and observational videos. The final piece is not strictly chronological; the videos are edited to follow the calendar year, but the attached voice memos follow an elongated 24-hour period.
