Syrie : les femmes sur tous les fronts

"The women fighting for freedom and equality in Syria."
Overview
Since the fall of Bashar al-Assad on December 8 and the rise to power of Ahmad al-Charaa, women in northeastern Syria—Rojava, as the Kurds call it—have been on the front lines. In this semi-autonomous region, they enjoy a special status: gender equality. And that is what they are defending today. Militarily, on the front lines, to repel attacks by Turkey and its proxies within the new regime, who would like to see Syrian Kurdistan disappear. And in civilian life, within activist movements, with the goal of promoting, throughout Syria, the feminist values that are in force across the entire northeast of the country. A struggle for rights and ideas, guided by one overarching goal… to help draft Syria’s new constitution.
