Overview

For six consecutive summers, Fulong Beach on the northeast coast of Taiwan has hosted a massive rock festival attracting tens of thousands of youth. Yet, few noticed that the golden sands were quietly trying to tell a story. In the summer of 2005, three successive typhoons—Haitang, Matsa, and Sanvu—decided to join the party. Amidst the roaring rock music filled with passion and courage, they ruthlessly brought wild winds and massive waves, sweeping across the beach where young musicians were pouring out their youthful dreams. In the aftermath of the storm, many were forced to look down, truly see the beach, and confront a very different side of the ocean.
