Overview
Harry Houdini was the greatest escape artist who ever lived — but the one room he could never escape was a grief he carried for thirteen years. When his mother died in 1913, he began walking into séance parlors across America in disguise. He came looking for her voice. He found only the trick, every single time. He died on Halloween night, 1926. Fifty-two years old. The code he left his wife has never been claimed. The séance still runs every October 31st. A hundred years have passed. This is the story of a man at war with himself — and what it costs to spend a lifetime refusing the lie that everyone around you desperately needs to be true.
