Overview
Settling in a new country is challenging, but in time preconceived ideas can give way to a better-than-imagined reality. People from many countries settle in Wales - they come from Somalia, Sudan, Afghanistan, Iran, Yugoslavia - but the experience of migration is complex. Unsettling and scary at first, it can be a while before feelings of safety and peace take root, and there is often sadness for the life - and people - left behind. Ultimately though, Wales offers a future of possibility to most, as 'here we can make dream happen...'.
