"Where did I go?"
In My Hands is a short film about a young girl struggling with body insecurity, depression, and the pressure to become someone she thinks the world will accept. Searching for happiness, she turns to a relationship that doesn't feel right, social media that deepens her insecurities, and makeup that fails to make her feel any different. As she drifts further from herself, she begins to remember the person she was before unhappiness took hold. Through this quiet journey of self-reflection, she realises that she cannot keep searching for herself in other people or in the expectations of society. She chooses to let go of the insecurities that have been holding her back and take the first steps towards living life on her own terms. In My Hands is a story about self-acceptance, rediscovering one's identity, and realising that the power to begin again has been within us all along.
