Overview
Gen. Pershing poses in France as American troops depart for Europe aboard transports and the Leviathan. Soldiers conduct training exercises, boxing matches, and military maneuvers. Infantry units advance through enemy territory near Montfaucon, Verdun, Seicheprey, Exermont, and other French towns, supported by artillery, tanks, and aircraft. Destroyers fire guns and drop depth charges, while artillery units bombard German trenches and positions. American aviators conduct formation flights and bombing raids, and antiaircraft fire downs a German plane. Pershing decorates 42nd Division troops, and American forces enter Bacharach, Germany. Troops celebrate the Armistice in France.
