Overview
Saxophone virtuoso Charlie Parker was a transforming talent who pioneered be-bop and changed the face of jazz improvisation. Although he died long before his time, "Bird" recorded a huge amount of material that continues to inspire musicians today. This video provides a tribute to Parker from many artists who knew and worked with him, including Phil Woods and Jimmy Cobb. Tracks include "Night and Day," "Jumpin' at the Woodside" and "My Old Flame."
