Overview
For many centuries, Egypt's Nile River nurtured the crops of different cultures and transported people to various locations in northern Africa. This video examines the history surrounding the world's longest river and studies the role it played in the daily lives of those once ruled by the pharaohs. Featured footage also reveals how the Nile River Delta still affects those living in its midst today. Additional time is spent visiting several of the Mediterranean cities located near the northern mouth of the Nile.
