Overview

Born in Germany at the end of the 19th century and died in Mexico in March 1969, the writer B. Traven remained a widely read author well into the postwar era. Today, his name is best known for the brilliant film adaptation of his novel “The Treasure of the Sierra Madre” by master director John Huston. B. Traven always used a pseudonym and spent his entire life weaving his legend. Xavier Villetard’s meticulously researched documentary now attempts to unravel the mystery surrounding B. Traven’s true identity.
