Is it the new Cold War, this time fought with the weapons of tariffs and counter-tariffs? The trade conflict between America and China is an unprecedented economic clash between two superpowers. It goes back to the trade policy credo of US President Donald Trump: "America first!" As a result, the USA imposed numerous tariffs of 25% on Chinese imported products in 2018.
