Overview
A native son of Peru, Miguel Harth-Bedoya presents a multidisciplinary exploration of the instruments and sounds of the South American regions connected by the great Inka Trail during the pre-Columbian era. This program illuminates the ancient roots of the rich and complex musical heritage of South America going back thousands of years. Utilizing historically informed photography, audio, video and testimonies of music professionals worldwide, Mr. Harth-Bedoya brings the sights and sounds of this vibrant culture alive. In addition to his musical leadership in Forth Worth, Texas and in Oslo Norway, Mr. Harth-Bedoya is also the Founder and Artistic Director of Caminos del Inka, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to performing and promoting the music of the Americas.
