Overview

"Desde Afuera" is a documentary that reflects the story of five Venezuelan emigrants. Leo moved to London with the idea of dedicating himself to music. Edu also came to London, but the need to establish himself legally forced him to go to Croatia, a culture he is completely unfamiliar with. Claudia and Santiago got married and are preparing to go to study in the United States, Amalyn went to Tokyo to live her dream of being a dancer and Melissa, in Australia, worries about raising her daughter with Venezuelan values despite the distance. For a year and a half they were in charge of recording their surroundings with cameras and cell phones. With this material, together with Skype meetings with the filmmakers, a collective portrait is built that explores the distance, identity and daily life of the Venezuelan as an immigrant.
